You Will Never Believe What These Chalk Artists Can Do Until You See It in Person
The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, an exciting combination of their annual Chalk Art Festival with the premier Craft Beer and Wine Festival. Enjoy your afternoon sampling craft beers and wines, enjoying live music from local artists, watching professional Chalk Artists chalk the streets and eating great food at the beautiful downtown square of Marietta.
In 2018, Chalktoberfest will feature artists from Italy, Mesopotamia, the Ukraine, Mexico and approximately 17 states in the United States. During this event, the Marietta Square will be transformed into a massive art studio where artists dazzle spectators. There will be a large number of award winning and established professional artists who bring the street to life with their large-scale paintings.
Led by Executive Director Sally Macaulay, Chalktoberfest has seen exponential growth over the years, with over 100,000 attendees in 2017. This unique event enables the Marietta Museum of Art to fulfill its mission of "Building Community through Art," and the response from the community has been overwhelming.
Chalktoberfest has won numerous awards including Festival of the Year by Cobb Life Magazine for 2016 and 2017, the Mayor's Art Award for the city of Marietta, and Event of the Year through Cobb Travel and Tourism.
A great day out for all the family, the Chalk Fest is free to attend. All proceeds go to the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. Don’t miss this fantastic community event!
If you feel like escaping The Heights at Perimeter Center Apartments in Dunwoody, Georgia for the day, this event is a perfect opportunity to do just that!
